What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Print Pulse and Artwork Systems Manager at Amrod, based in Woodmead, Gauteng. The role focuses on improving and managing artwork and production systems across 11 departments and 21 branding methods to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

What you will do

You will identify and solve problems in artwork and file processes that affect production. This includes researching solutions, testing improvements, and training teams on new tools and workflows. You will work closely with Production, Research & Development, IT, and Sales to turn business needs into technical solutions. You will analyze production data to find the biggest issues, propose fixes, and track their impact. You will also test new systems, ensure they work correctly, and document processes for future reference. Additionally, you will collaborate with vendors and partners to improve workflows, especially for embroidery digitizing.

What you need

You need at least 5 years of experience in pre-press, digital print production, or artwork environments, with a strong understanding of branding methods like screen, pad, digital, and laser printing. You should be skilled in analyzing production data, identifying root causes of errors, and using data to prioritize actions. Practical experience with CorelDRAW, Adobe Illustrator, PDF preflight, color management, and automation tools is required. You must also be able to communicate complex technical details clearly to non-technical teams and leadership.
