What the job is

This is a job for an Installation and Support Technician at Lesaka Technologies, working in the Merchant Division for the Hospitality industry. The position is based in Mbombela (Nelspruit), Mpumalanga. You will be part of a growing team that sets up and supports point-of-sale (POS) systems for clients in the region.

What you will do

You will install and set up POS hardware and software at client locations. You will configure systems for stock control, administration, and reporting. You will manage go-lives, including after-hours support to ensure smooth transitions. You will provide technical and software support during and after business hours. You will train client staff on how to use the POS and Back Office systems. You will work closely with the regional technical team and take ownership of your assigned tasks. You will also handle escalations and coordinate support cases to resolve issues quickly.

What you need

You must have an IT qualification, preferably with A+ and N+ certifications. You need at least 3 to 5 years of experience in IT or technical support. You should have experience with Windows networking. Strong problem-solving skills and excellent English communication (both written and verbal) are required. You must be able to work independently, travel long distances, and have your own reliable vehicle. You should also be willing to work irregular hours, including standby duties.
