What the job is

This is a position for an Electrician at CBRE Excellerate, a leading company in commercial real estate services and investments. The company operates across Africa and the Middle East, offering high-quality facilities management, advisory, and project management services. The job is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

What you will do

You will perform preventive and reactive electrical maintenance at facilities managed by CBRE Excellerate. Your tasks will include conducting planned preventive maintenance (PPM) on switchgear, main distribution boards (SMDBs), and distribution boards (DBs). You will also carry out insulation-resistance testing (meggering), electrical fault finding, and repairs. Additionally, you will support the safe restoration of electrical services while following health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines, as well as permit-to-work (PTW) procedures. You will diagnose electrical failures, recommend corrective actions, and escalate major issues to the Technical Supervisor when needed.

What you need

You must have a diploma or ITI certification in Electrical Engineering or a related electrical trade. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance is required, with strong hands-on experience in maintaining SMDBs and DBs. You should be skilled in insulation-resistance testing, troubleshooting electrical failures, and using tools like multimeters and clamp meters. Knowledge of low-voltage distribution systems, protective devices, and electrical isolation procedures is essential. Experience in facilities management is preferred.
