What the job is

This is a permanent position for a Factory Shop Supervisor at Libstar’s Lancewood division, based in Epping, Cape Town, Western Cape. The role involves overseeing the daily operations of the factory shop, ensuring smooth sales, customer service, and stock management.

What you will do

You will support the achievement of sales and profitability targets by monitoring daily sales performance and reporting concerns to the Factory Shop Manager. You will ensure correct pricing, promotions, and markdowns are applied, and assist with merchandising, displays, and product presentation. Your duties include supervising store operations during shifts, managing opening and closing procedures, and allocating tasks to staff. You will also handle stock management, cash reconciliations, customer queries, and administrative tasks. Additionally, you will lead and motivate employees, conduct training, and promote teamwork and professionalism.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate or NQF Level 4 qualification. A retail, business, or supervisory qualification will be an advantage. You need at least 5 years of retail experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role. You should be skilled in stock control, cash management, and customer service, and have computer literacy in Excel, POS systems, and related software. Strong leadership, communication, and numerical skills are required, along with attention to detail and knowledge of retail operations and food safety.
