What the job is

This is a Senior Java Developer position at Araxi Group, working under the Dariel division. The job is based in Bramley, Gauteng, and is a permanent role. You will be part of a team that designs, builds, and delivers software solutions for clients, using your technical skills and leadership to improve systems and processes.

What you will do

You will design, develop, and maintain software using Java and related technologies, ensuring the code is clean and efficient. You will help make technical decisions and contribute to system architecture. You will guide and support other team members, solve complex technical problems, and improve system performance. You will work with different teams, participate in code reviews, and share knowledge to improve team performance. You will also stay updated with industry trends and help introduce new tools and methods to improve projects.

What you need

You need at least 6 years of experience in software engineering at an intermediate to senior level. Strong knowledge of Java and JavaScript, along with experience in modern frameworks like Node, React, or Angular, is required. You should have good problem-solving skills and the ability to explain technical ideas clearly. A degree in Computer Science or a related field is advantageous, but equivalent experience is also accepted. Cloud certifications like AWS or Azure are a plus.
