What the job is

This is a Warehouse Storeman position at VKB Group, a well-known agricultural company that supports farmers and produces food for consumers. The job is based in Douglas, Northern Cape, and is part of the GWK Retail team under VKB Commercial Services. The company is involved in farming, food processing, logistics, and selling products both locally and globally.

What you will do

You will manage stock in warehouses and storage yards, making sure all loading and offloading of goods is done correctly and safely. You will control stock levels, check that the right amounts are available, and rotate stock as needed. You will also walk around daily to inspect the premises and ensure they are clean, tidy, and meet company standards. Additionally, you will follow health and safety rules, help market agricultural products, and handle any other related tasks as needed.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate or an NQF Level 4 qualification. Previous experience in warehousing is helpful but not required. You should be good at keeping things organized, maintaining cleanliness, and managing stock accurately. You must also be willing to undergo ongoing training. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work under pressure, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are important. Basic computer skills and negotiation abilities are also required.
