What the job is

Pepkor Payments & Lending in Cape Town is hiring a Systems Support Analyst. This role involves working closely with the Credit Risk Systems Owner to ensure the credit and collections systems run smoothly, are optimized, and continuously improved. The analyst will act as a bridge between business and technology teams, making sure system changes and updates follow business rules, compliance standards, and operational goals.

What you will do

You will configure system settings, workflows, and rules for credit and collections platforms. This includes setting up collection strategies, risk rules, scoring logic, and communication workflows like letters and SMS. You will monitor systems to ensure processes like batch jobs and integrations are working correctly, investigate issues, and fix problems. You will also test system changes, support user acceptance testing, and document all configurations and updates. Additionally, you will assist teams by answering questions about system workflows, providing training, and ensuring all changes meet compliance and audit requirements.

What you need

You need a Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Analysis, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience. At least 3 years of experience in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, or system configuration, preferably in financial services, credit, lending, or collections, is required. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work with different teams are essential. You should also have good documentation, communication, and testing skills.
