What the job is

This is a job for a Shopping Centre Site Manager at Fidelity Services Group. The position is based in Midrand, Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role involves managing the daily security operations at a large shopping centre to ensure all security needs are met professionally and efficiently for the client.

What you will do

You will maintain good relationships between Fidelity Security Services Group and the client regarding security services. You will ensure security officers are posted on time and trained to prevent risks like motor vehicle thefts, robberies, shoplifting, and identifying suspects. You will make sure all security officers meet the client’s contractual requirements and enforce strict discipline. You will identify potential threats, create action plans, and constantly evaluate service levels to recommend improvements. You will also manage and supervise a large security team, handle HR matters, investigate incidents, attend client meetings, and submit reports to management and the client.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate and be registered and accredited with PSIRA as Grade A or B. You need at least 8 years of experience in a management role in the security industry and at least 5 years of experience managing a large shopping centre. You should have experience as a Site Manager with a large security team, knowledge of investigation techniques, and experience in managing stock losses and shrinkage. Computer literacy, a valid driver’s license, and your own reliable transport are required. You must live near Midrand, have no criminal record, and be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and public holidays. Strong planning, leadership, organizational, and communication skills are essential.
