What the job is

This is a job for a VM and Spatial Planner Assistant at Weylandts Furniture Cape Town (Pty) Ltd, based in Cape Town, Western Cape. The company is looking for someone to help with planning and setting up homeware products in their stores. It is a permanent position, and the role is part of the Furniture Buying team.

What you will do

You will help create visual merchandising lookbooks for homeware products, which means gathering product details, images, and styling ideas. You will also assist in planning and preparing for the company’s twice-yearly store revamps, including placing new homeware items into furniture settings. You will use Revit software to help with layouts and product placement. Additionally, you will communicate with stores to ensure they understand how to display products correctly. You will also maintain records of lookbooks and product documentation.

What you need

You need a qualification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Spatial Design, or a related field. You must be proficient in Revit and Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint, Excel, and Word. Strong visual awareness, attention to detail, and good communication skills are important. Experience in retail, visual merchandising, or homeware is a plus but not required. This role is ideal for a recent graduate with an interest in interiors and retail.
