What the job is
This is a permanent position for an Assistant Officer in Debt Management at Eskom, a leading company in electricity, energy, and water supply. The job is based in Sunninghill, Gauteng, and focuses on managing debt effectively within the company’s finance department.
What you will do
You will perform debt control and administration tasks, ensuring all financial processes follow company policies. You will prepare, review, and analyze operational reports to support decision-making. You will also provide customer service and manage relationships with stakeholders. Additionally, you will handle the administration and control of securities and oversee the debt collection process.
What you need
You must have a National Diploma in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting at NQF Level 6 with 240 credits. You need at least 2 years of experience in credit and debt management. Strong skills in communication, financial administration, accounting processing, and financial reporting are required. You should also have good interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, along with computer literacy. Knowledge of financial systems, Eskom tariffs, tax legislation, and financial regulations like IFRS and PFMA is essential.
