This is a job for a Regional Property Operations Manager at a leading student accommodation and property management company. The role is based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and involves overseeing a group of student housing properties in the region. The company is looking for someone with strong experience in managing multiple properties or operations to ensure everything runs smoothly.

What you will do

You will be responsible for the condition, performance, and maintenance of the properties in your region. This includes managing budgets, ensuring compliance with safety and building regulations, and overseeing maintenance and repairs. You will also handle financial planning, monitor contractor performance, and ensure a consistent experience for tenants. Additionally, you will manage teams, resolve student complaints, and work with universities and other stakeholders. You will prepare reports, support new projects, and assist with audits and special tasks as needed.

What you need

You need a degree in Property Management, Facilities Management, Business, or a related field. You must have 5 to 8 years of experience in managing multiple properties or operations, preferably in student accommodation or hospitality. Strong leadership, financial, and communication skills are required. You should also be familiar with property laws, crisis management, and software like CRM systems and Microsoft Office. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between sites are essential.

What you will get

The salary for this role is between R540,000 and R600,000 per year, and it is negotiable. This is a permanent, full-time position with opportunities to grow in a dynamic industry.
