What the job is

A leading insurance company is hiring an Intermediate Test Analyst to join their team in Sandton, Gauteng. This role involves working closely with the IT department to ensure software solutions are tested thoroughly before being delivered to users.

What you will do

You will create test cases and test plans based on user requirements. You will perform different types of testing, including functional, integration, system, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) across various applications. You will identify, analyze, and document programming errors, then verify that fixes are properly applied. You will communicate test results to project stakeholders and train users for UAT. Additionally, you will develop training manuals when needed and support project delivery through effective testing and quality assurance.

What you need

You must have at least 3 years of relevant experience in manual testing. You should have experience with SQL, Web API, and JSON files. Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and boundary analysis is required. Experience with test automation practices and tools is also necessary. A qualification in Test Analysis, such as ISTQB, is preferred.
