What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Credit Manager at OOS VRYSTAAT KAAP BEDRYF BPK / OPERATIONS LTD, based in Burgersdorp, Eastern Cape. The main goal of this role is to help the company increase its profits and reduce financial risks by effectively managing and collecting payments from customers who owe money.

What you will do

You will be responsible for approving credit for customers. You will manage the company’s list of customers who owe money and ensure payments are collected on time. You will keep all financial records and paperwork up to date. You will also oversee the daily operations of the credit office and ensure everything runs smoothly.

What you need

You must have completed Grade 12, and having a qualification in accounting or finance will be an advantage. You need at least 5 years of experience working in a credit lending environment, especially in agriculture. You must have a good understanding of credit and FICA laws. A valid driver’s license is required. You should be skilled in using computers, especially MS Office, and have strong communication skills in both Afrikaans and English. You must be good with numbers, organized, able to work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality. Experience in managing staff and maintaining good relationships is also important.
