What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Credit Manager at OOS VRYSTAAT KAAP BEDRYF BPK / OPERATIONS LTD, based in Burgersdorp, Eastern Cape. The main goal of this role is to help the company increase its profits and reduce financial risks by effectively managing and collecting payments from customers who owe money.

What you will do

You will be responsible for approving and providing credit to customers. You will manage the company’s debtors book, which means keeping track of all money owed to the company. You will also maintain all administrative records related to credit and debt collection. Additionally, you will oversee the daily operations of the credit office, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate, and having a qualification in finance or accounting will be an advantage. You need at least 5 years of experience working in agricultural credit lending. You should have a strong understanding of credit and FICA laws. A valid driver’s license is required. You must be skilled in using computers, especially MS Office, and have good communication skills in both Afrikaans and English. You should be good with numbers, organized, able to work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality. Experience in managing staff and maintaining good relationships is also important.
