What the job is

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a dedicated Cosmetic Merchandiser to join their team at the Castle Gate store in Pretoria, Gauteng. This is a permanent position where you will ensure that the store’s cosmetic products are well-stocked, neatly displayed, and meet Dis-Chem’s merchandising standards. You will also provide excellent customer service while following company policies and procedures.

What you will do

You will restock merchandise to ensure maximum sales and maintain full product ranges on shelves. You will check stock for expired or damaged items and report any issues to management. You will follow Dis-Chem’s merchandising guidelines, including proper shelf labeling, pricing, and display setups. You will assist with stock counts, off-loading deliveries, and keeping the storeroom organized. You will also provide friendly customer service, handle stock queries, and ensure the store is clean and tidy at all times.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate (Grade 12) and at least 0 to 6 months of retail experience. Experience in retail for at least one year is an advantage. You should have strong communication skills in English, both written and spoken, and be able to work with planograms and merchandising standards. You must be trustworthy, detail-oriented, and able to work retail hours. A clear credit and criminal record is required, and you must be a South African citizen.
