What the job is

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a customer-focused Cosmetic Consultant to work at their store in Newcastle Corner, KwaZulu-Natal. This is a permanent position where you will promote and sell Dis-Chem’s cosmetic and beauty products while providing excellent customer service.

What you will do

You will provide a high level of customer care and service. You will demonstrate products through makeovers, cosmetic demonstrations, and spray promotions. You will manage stock levels, report on short, damaged, or expired stock to the manager, and ensure displays are set up attractively. You will also maximize store income by achieving sales targets for departments, brands, and vendors. Additionally, you will handle salon appointments and manage all cosmetics, fragrances, and beauty promotions.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 or Matric certificate. You need retail experience as a sales consultant and must be computer literate. You should be willing and able to work retail hours. It is advantageous if you have experience in cosmetics, fragrances, or beauty. You must have a strong command of English, both written and spoken, and be a team player. A valid driver’s license and your own reliable transport are required, along with a clear credit and criminal record.
