What the job is

This is a Store Manager position at PEP, a well-known retail company. The job is based at the PEP store in Southdale, Johannesburg. The role involves leading a team to achieve business goals and maintain high standards in the store.

What you will do

You will be responsible for increasing sales by providing excellent customer service and keeping the store looking its best. You will manage stock to prevent losses by following security and cash handling procedures. You will also control costs by running the store efficiently and completing all administrative tasks as required. Leading and training the store team will be a key part of your role, as well as ensuring health, safety, and cleanliness standards are met.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and be fluent in English. A diploma or degree in business or retail is a plus. Ideally, you should have 1-2 years of experience in a retail leadership role. Computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office or Google GSuite, are beneficial. You should be passionate about retail, have strong leadership and communication skills, and be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You must also be willing to work retail hours.
