What the job is

This is a full-time BI Developer position at Hire Resolve, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role is with a well-known South African financial services company that offers insurance, investment, and lifestyle solutions. The BI Developer will be responsible for managing and improving the company’s SQL Data Warehouse to ensure it runs smoothly and efficiently.

What you will do

You will design, develop, and maintain business intelligence solutions to help the company make better decisions. You will create and update operational reports and dashboards to visualize data clearly. You will identify and fix issues in data reporting to ensure accuracy. You will work with other developers and analysts to improve slow-running queries and recommend ways to enhance reporting solutions. You will also provide technical support, diagnose problems, and resolve or escalate IT-related issues to keep services running effectively.

What you need

You must have at least five years of experience as a Data Warehouse Developer. You should have hands-on experience in designing, setting up, configuring, and troubleshooting BI solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with great attention to detail. A Matric certificate is required, and additional education or certifications will be beneficial. You should be dynamic, reliable, and self-motivated, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

What you will get

The salary for this role ranges from R420,000 to R480,000 per year, depending on your experience and skills. There may be opportunities for higher pay based on your qualifications. This is a permanent position offering a chance to grow your career in a leading financial services company.
