What the job is

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Health Merchandiser to work at their Boardwalk Mall store in Gqeberha/Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. This is a permanent position where you will be responsible for maintaining the store’s merchandising standards and providing excellent customer service.

What you will do

You will restock merchandise as needed and ensure that all delivered stock is stored and packed in the correct spaces. You will make sure the full range of products is always available on the shelves and rotate stock on a First In First Out basis. You will also assist with stocktaking, keep shelves and products neatly presented with correct labels and pricing, and build and maintain merchandising displays. Additionally, you will handle customer stock queries and help with back shopping.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12/Matric certificate and up to 6 months of retail experience. You should be computer literate, especially with MS Office, and willing to work retail hours. A diploma or degree in a health-related field and at least one year of retail experience would be an advantage. You must also be physically fit to lift heavy boxes, have reliable transport or live close to the store, and be a South African citizen with clear credit and criminal records.
