What the job is

This is a contract position for a Process Engineer at iqbusiness South Africa, based in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The company is looking for experienced professionals to help design, improve, and optimize business processes in the financial services industry.

What you will do

You will analyze and model current business processes to understand how they work. You will design improved future processes and create clear models using tools like BPMN. You will lead workshops and interviews to gather information and validate process designs with stakeholders. You will identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement, then apply techniques like Lean to enhance workflows. You will also work with technology teams to ensure processes align with systems and support smooth implementation.

What you need

You need at least 7 years of experience in process engineering, design, or optimization, preferably in banking or financial services. You must be skilled in process modeling, using standards like BPMN, and have experience in redesigning processes from current to future states. Strong facilitation, workshop leadership, and business writing skills are required. A Matric certificate is mandatory, and a relevant tertiary qualification in process engineering, industrial engineering, or similar fields is preferred.
