What the job is

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Cosmetics Manager to work at their store in Artem, Sea Point, Cape Town. This is a permanent position where you will manage the cosmetics and beauty products section of the store. You will be responsible for promoting and selling beauty products while ensuring excellent customer service.

What you will do

You will lead and support the sales team under the guidance of the Store Manager, following Dis-Chem’s policies and procedures. You will assign Cosmetic Consultants to the right beauty and cosmetic sections and ensure they receive proper training. You will manage stock control by planning and ordering stock with the help of Dis-Chem’s warehouse. You will handle customer compliments and complaints, escalating serious issues to the Store Manager or Regional Cosmetic Manager. You will maintain high standards of cleanliness and merchandising displays and ensure monthly promotions are carried out to meet department targets. You will also stay updated on product knowledge, brands, and industry trends.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 or Matric certificate and at least 3 years of experience in cosmetics or beauty within a retail environment. You should have previous experience supervising or managing a team of around 7 people. You need to be computer literate, especially with MS Office, and be willing to work retail hours. A valid driver’s license and your own reliable transport are required. You must be a South African citizen with clear credit and criminal records. Strong English language skills, both written and oral, are essential, and being a team player with excellent customer service skills is a must. Experience with SAP and Qlikview is advantageous.
