What the job is

This is a Warehouse Operator position at homechoice, a well-known South African homeware retailer. The job is based in Blackheath, Western Cape, and involves working in a busy warehouse to help manage stock and orders efficiently. homechoice has been helping customers create beautiful homes for 40 years with affordable, quality products.

What you will do

You will offload and unload deliveries, count and label incoming stock, and prepare pallets for movement. You will use warehouse scanners to manage inventory, move stock between locations, and perform cycle counts to ensure accuracy. You will pick and pack customer orders carefully, work on conveyor systems, and load or offload stock as needed. You will also assist with general warehouse tasks like building combos, repairing pallets, and keeping the workspace clean and safe. You must follow all health and safety rules and report any equipment issues.

What you need

You need a Matric certificate (Grade 12 or NQF 4) as a minimum qualification. You should have 2 to 5 years of experience working in a warehouse or distribution center. A valid, unendorsed driver’s license and reliable transport to the Blackheath Distribution Centre are required. You must be medically fit for physical warehouse work and able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays. A clear criminal and credit record is also necessary.
