What the job is

Vans is hiring a Sales Assistant on a contract basis to work at their store in the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town. This role is part of Ares Holdings and involves working with a well-known retail brand that specializes in streetwear, sneakers, and youth culture. The position is based in Cape Town, Western Cape.

What you will do

You will assist customers in the store, providing excellent service and advice on products and styling. You will process sales transactions and handle payments. You will also replenish stock on the shop floor and keep the store looking neat and visually appealing according to Vans’ brand standards. Additionally, you will help create a positive and energetic atmosphere in the store and act as a brand ambassador, representing Vans’ values and culture.

What you need

You must have at least one year of sales experience, preferably in a similar retail or streetwear brand. You should be motivated, have a positive attitude, and genuinely love the Vans brand. A strong interest in streetwear, sneakers, extreme sports, and youth culture is essential. You must also be available to work on weekends and during retail holidays.
