What the job is

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring a Clinic Nurse Practitioner (Roaming) to work in Rynfield, Benoni, Gauteng. This is a permanent position where you will manage and operate a Primary Health Care Clinic inside a pharmacy. The role involves providing nursing services within the scope of a registered nursing practitioner while ensuring the clinic runs profitably and efficiently.

What you will do

You will perform all duties of a Clinic Sister according to industry regulations and best practices. This includes managing patient flow to meet clinic targets, keeping accurate patient records, and ensuring all clinic services are available. You will also process claims correctly and on time, maintain stock and equipment in working condition, and ensure the clinic opens and operates during the stated hours. Building and maintaining good relationships with patients, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers, and community members is also part of the role.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate, a tertiary qualification in General Nursing, and a Degree or Diploma in Midwifery. You need to be registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) and have BHF registration as a nursing practitioner. At least 2-3 years of experience as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister is required, along with computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Strong English communication, financial awareness, and emotional intelligence are essential. A valid driver’s license, own transport, and physical fitness to manage the clinic are also required.
