What the job is

This is a job for an Engineering Field Service Manager at Pump and Abrasion Technologies. The company is based in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga, and is looking for someone to lead their field service team in the mining and metals industry.

What you will do

You will lead, mentor, and supervise a team of field service engineers and technicians. You will make sure technical issues and service requests are resolved quickly and efficiently. You will create and run training programs to improve the skills of your team. You will track performance and find ways to improve field service operations. You will work with other teams to ensure smooth communication and coordination. You will manage inventory, equipment, and resources. You will build strong relationships with clients to keep them satisfied. You will also provide technical support to your team when needed.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. You need at least 5 years of experience in a technical field service role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position. You should have strong technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering. You must have excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience with field service management software and tools is required. You must be willing to travel to client sites as needed. A certification or license in a relevant engineering field is a plus.
