What the job is

This is a Warehouse Clerk position at Rohlig-Grindrod, a company in the logistics and supply chain industry. The job is based in Sandton, Gauteng, and is part of the Air Freight division in the Johannesburg business unit. It is a permanent role for someone at an entry level in their career.

What you will do

You will control the receipt, handling, and dispatch of freight in the warehouse. You will process all documentation related to the movement of freight. You will ensure health and safety standards are followed at all times. You will comply with the company’s quality management system requirements. You may also be asked to handle additional tasks as needed.

What you need

You must have completed Matric (Grade 12). You need at least one year of experience working in a logistics or airfreight environment. You should have basic knowledge of freight handling, storage requirements, loss control, and risk management principles. You must also be familiar with relevant sections of the OHSA Act regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with logical thinking, planning, and problem-solving abilities. Computer literacy, especially with MS Office and Shipshape software, is essential.
