What the job is

Dis-Chem Pharmacies is hiring a Clinic Nurse Practitioner (Roaming) for their East Point store in Boksburg, Gauteng. This role involves managing and running a Primary Health Care Clinic inside a pharmacy. The nurse will provide healthcare services within their registered scope of practice.

What you will do

You will perform all duties of a Clinic Sister according to industry rules and best practices. You will manage patient flow to meet clinic targets and ensure all services are available. You will keep accurate patient records and follow up on communications. You will make sure the clinic opens and closes on time and that all stock and equipment are in working order. You will process claims correctly and on time. You will also build good relationships with patients, store managers, colleagues, medical aids, suppliers, and other healthcare professionals.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate and a tertiary qualification in General Nursing. You need a Degree or Diploma in Midwifery and must be registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC). You must also have BHF registration as a nursing practitioner. You need 2-3 years of experience as a Primary Health Care Clinic Sister. Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) are required. A valid driver’s license, your own transport, and the ability to work retail hours are essential. A clear credit and criminal record is also needed.
