What the job is
This is a permanent position for a Batch Scheduling Officer at Eskom, a leading company in the electricity, energy, and water supply industry. The job is based in Sunninghill, Gauteng, and focuses on managing and scheduling Eskom’s billing system operations. You will work within the Application Delivery department, specifically in the Customer and Revenue business unit at Megawatt Park.
What you will do
You will be responsible for managing and scheduling batch processes for Eskom’s billing system. This includes performing schedule management, batch performance management, and reporting. You will also handle scheduling tool administration, conduct testing, and manage thread pools. Additionally, you will document and review processes to ensure smooth operations. The role requires working with stakeholders, solving problems, and making tactical decisions.
What you need
To qualify, you need a National Diploma in Information Management or Information Technology at NQF Level 6 with 240 credits. You must also have at least 3 years of experience in an information management or IT environment. Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills are essential. You should be a team player, results-oriented, and able to work independently or after hours when needed.
