What the job is

This is a full-time Retail Store Manager position at PEP, located in Boksburg on the East Rand of Johannesburg, Gauteng. The role involves leading a store team to achieve business goals, including increasing sales, controlling costs, and maintaining high store standards.

What you will do

You will be responsible for driving sales by providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean, well-organized store. You will manage stock to prevent losses by following security and cash handling procedures. You will also control costs by promoting efficiency in the store. Administrative tasks must be completed according to company guidelines. Additionally, you will lead, train, and coach a team of employees, ensuring they perform well. You must also maintain health, safety, and cleanliness standards in the store.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and be fluent in English. A degree or diploma in a business or retail-related field is an advantage. You should have at least 1-2 years of experience in a retail leadership role. Computer literacy, especially with Microsoft Office or Google GSuite, is beneficial. Strong leadership, communication, and managerial skills are required, along with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. You must be passionate about retail and willing to work retail hours.
