Head of Campus
Make it Good
Cape Town, Western Cape Full-time R 50,000 – R 70,000 / month Posted 01 Oct 2026

Job Description

What the job is

This is a role for the Head of Campus at Make it Good, a company that partners with educational institutions to train artisans across Africa. The job is based in Cape Town, Western Cape, and involves leading a brand-new campus that is currently being built. The company values honesty, accountability, and a hands-on approach to work.

What you will do

You will lead all campus operations from start to finish, including managing facilities, scheduling, systems, and compliance. You will shape and execute the campus strategy to align with the company’s growth goals. Building relationships with employers, partners, and stakeholders in the Western Cape will be a key part of your role. You will also lead, develop, and support every team member on campus, ensuring smooth programme delivery and troubleshooting any issues. Additionally, you will manage the campus budget, track performance, identify risks, and spot growth opportunities such as new programmes and partnerships. You will represent the business in Cape Town and share insights with the Head Office.

What you need

You need at least 3 to 5 years of experience in an operational leadership or campus/site management role. You must have a proven track record of managing diverse, multi-functional teams and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, lean environment where structures are still developing. Strong people management skills, financial literacy, and the ability to turn strategy into action are essential. You should also be a curious generalist who is willing to dive into the details of every function. Experience in education, training, or workforce development, as well as connections to Cape Town’s communities, will be a bonus.

What you will get

The salary for this role is between R50,000 and R70,000 per month, cost-to-company. Benefits include group life cover, a contribution to medical aid, stock options, and a flexible leave policy with time off during the annual shutdown. This is a permanent, on-site role, and you must be legally eligible to work in South Africa.
