What the job is

This is a Digital Marketing Specialist role at The Make it Good Company, based in Pretoria, Gauteng. You will work for a well-known South African consumer goods company that is currently going through a major brand transformation. This includes updating their packaging, vehicles, uniforms, and launching a new website. The company is growing its direct-to-consumer coffee and beverage business, and this is a new role where you will build and manage their digital marketing from the start.

What you will do

You will be responsible for all digital marketing activities, from attracting new customers through search, paid ads, and social media to keeping existing customers engaged. You will manage the direct-to-consumer membership and subscription programs, as well as all website content, social media, newsletters, and digital sales campaigns. Your tasks will include improving the company’s visibility in search results, optimizing the website to turn visitors into customers, and reporting on sales, traffic, and growth. You will also work closely with the brand team and leadership during the company-wide rebrand.

What you need

You must be conversationally fluent in Afrikaans and have solid experience in a similar digital marketing role, preferably in direct-to-consumer or e-commerce. You should have hands-on skills in paid media, SEO, social media, and email marketing, with a proven track record of growing traffic, conversions, or customer retention. Strong communication skills are essential, as this is a visible role that involves working across different teams. You should also be comfortable working independently and building processes from scratch.

What you will get

The salary for this role is between R35,000 and R40,000 per month, cost-to-company. Benefits include a performance-based annual bonus, travel allowance, a laptop and data stipend, and a Provident Fund. The work model is hybrid, allowing for 1–2 days of remote work per week. Working hours are sensible, from 8 AM to 4 PM, with an early finish on Fridays. There is no micromanagement, and you will have ownership and autonomy in your role.
