What the job is

This is a Buyer position at Stefanutti Stocks, a construction company based in New Germany, KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves managing the purchasing of goods, materials, and services for construction projects while ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with company policies.

What you will do

You will work closely with project teams to understand procurement needs, including specifications, budgets, and delivery timelines. You will develop and execute procurement plans that align with project milestones, quality standards, and budget constraints. Your responsibilities include sourcing suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring all purchases meet project requirements. You will also manage supplier relationships, track market trends, and provide accurate procurement reports. Additionally, you will ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements.

What you need

You must have a CIPS qualification or an equivalent procurement qualification. You need at least 8 to 10 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry. Experience with BuildSmart software will be an advantage. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills are required, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office. You should also have a high level of integrity, attention to detail, and the ability to manage financial and risk-related tasks.
