What the job is

This is a job for an Intelligence Officer at Fidelity Services Group, based in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga. The role involves working as a Mining Investigator at one of the company’s mining sites. The position is permanent and requires someone who can conduct investigations independently across various sites.

What you will do

You will gather all relevant evidence in a legal way and testify in criminal and disciplinary hearings. You will work with other groups like SAPS, public prosecutors, legal representatives, and Fidelity Services Group personnel at all levels. You will keep records of all evidence and investigation paperwork in case files. You will make sure investigation reports are accurate and supported by evidence. You will also recruit and manage informers, ensure investigations are completed on time, and maintain the integrity of all reports. Additionally, you will file, update, and keep all information readily available as needed and be willing to work overtime when required.

What you need

You must have a PSIRA Grade A certification and a valid firearm competency for business purposes. A formal qualification in Intelligence Studies, Policing, or another law enforcement field at NQF Level 6 or 7 is required. You need at least 5 years of experience in crime intelligence, SANDF intelligence, or a state security agency. Mining investigation experience is a plus. You must have your own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), and a good command of English are essential. You must have no criminal record or pending cases. Professional certifications in intelligence analysis will be beneficial.
