What the job is

This is a job for an Intelligence Officer at Fidelity Services Group, based in Emalahleni, Mpumalanga. The role involves working as a Mining Investigator at one of the company’s mining sites. The position is permanent, and the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting independent investigations on-site.

What you will do

You will gather all relevant evidence in a legal way and testify in criminal and disciplinary hearings. You will work with other role players like SAPS, Public Prosecutors, Legal representatives, and FSG personnel at all levels. You will keep records of all evidence and investigation paperwork in case files. You will ensure investigation reports are accurate and supported by evidence. You will also recruit and manage informers, meet deadlines, and maintain the integrity of all reports. Additionally, you will file, update, and ensure all information is readily available when needed and be willing to work overtime when required.

What you need

You must have a PSIRA Grade A certification and a firearm competency for business purposes. A formal qualification in Intelligence Studies, Policing, or Law Enforcement (NQF Level 6 or 7) is mandatory. You need at least 5 years of experience in Crime Intelligence, SANDF Intelligence, or a State Security Agency. You must have your own reliable transport and a valid driver’s license. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), are required. You must have no criminal record and good command of the English language. Professional certifications in Intelligence Analysis will be an advantage.
