What the job is

The job is for an Advancement Specialist at Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa, located in Cape Town, Western Cape. This is a permanent position where you will work closely with the community and corporate partners to build strong relationships and support the museum’s goals. The museum focuses on contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora, offering exhibitions, educational programs, and cultural events.

What you will do

You will support the museum’s membership, patron, and corporate partnership strategies by building relationships with communities, visitors, and stakeholders. You will identify and develop corporate memberships and partnerships, plan and coordinate exclusive events, and manage membership administration, including CRM records and renewals. You will also collaborate with other departments to deliver exceptional experiences for members and partners, create engaging content for communications, and monitor membership performance to improve engagement.

What you need

You need a 3-year bachelor’s degree or diploma, with at least 3 years of experience in community management, events, membership, or customer engagement. Experience in corporate relationship building, CRM systems, and event management is required. Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to handle confidential information and work under pressure.
