Job Description
What the job is
This is a remote job for an Account Manager at Make it Good, a company that works with a UK-based software business. The software helps schools and school trusts manage their operations and stay connected with parents. The role is fully remote, meaning you can work from anywhere in South Africa, as long as you are legally allowed to work in the country. You will be part of a supportive team that values collaboration and long-term customer relationships.
What you will do
You will manage a group of 75 to 100 smaller school and trust accounts, mostly through phone calls and emails. Your main tasks will include building strong relationships with key contacts, helping customers use the software effectively, and monitoring their satisfaction. You will also look for ways to grow existing accounts by introducing new products or services. Additionally, you will keep customer records up to date in the CRM system, report on your portfolio regularly, and work closely with support, product, sales, and finance teams to ensure the best outcomes for customers. You may also contribute to the team’s LinkedIn presence and use AI tools as part of your daily work.
What you need
To apply, you should have previous experience in account management, customer success, or a similar client-facing role. Strong written communication skills are essential, as many customers prefer email. You must be highly organized, able to manage multiple relationships at once, and comfortable working independently in a remote team. A proactive and friendly approach to solving problems is important, as is confidence using AI tools. You should also have an active and professional LinkedIn profile. Experience in education, edtech, or multi-site organizations is a plus, as is experience with customer renewals, retention, or account growth. Familiarity with Google Workspace and online client presentations is also beneficial.
What you will get
This is a permanent, full-time position with a salary range of R36,000 to R55,000 per month, depending on your experience. The job is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in South Africa. You will join a fast-growing, family-run business that invests in its employees and offers opportunities for professional growth. The team is close-knit and values long-term relationships, both with customers and employees.
