What the job is

This is a Field Manager position at Smollan, a company in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. The job is based in Klerksdorp, North West Province, and is a permanent role. You will be responsible for managing field operations and ensuring smooth execution of tasks in the retail environment.

What you will do

You will lead a team to achieve operational excellence by actively managing daily activities. You will monitor and execute promotional campaigns to meet sales targets and ensure point-of-purchase objectives are achieved. You will track new product innovations and report on their performance. You will also manage expenses, analyze business insights, and engage with stakeholders to improve results. Additionally, you will handle people management, problem-solving, and decision-making to drive business growth.

What you need

You must have 2 to 3 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry at a managerial or supervisory level. A relevant Diploma at NQF level 5 is required. You need a valid Code 8 driver’s license. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You should also have computer literacy, business acumen, and the ability to analyze and solve problems. Leadership, planning, negotiation, and sales management skills are important for this role.
