What the job is

This is a Field Manager position at Smollan, a company in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. The job is based in Klerksdorp, North West Province, and is a permanent role. What you will do

You will lead a team to achieve operational excellence by actively managing daily field activities. You will gather business insights and ensure they are executed effectively. Your role includes managing promotional activities, achieving point-of-purchase objectives, and monitoring new product innovations. You will also be responsible for meeting sales targets efficiently, controlling expenses, and engaging with stakeholders to build strong relationships. Additionally, you will use your leadership skills to manage and motivate your team.

What you need

You must have 2 to 3 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry at a managerial or supervisory level. A relevant Diploma at NQF level 5 is required. You need a valid Code 8 driver’s license. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. You should also have problem-solving abilities, computer literacy, business acumen, and commercial awareness. Attention to detail, proactive thinking, planning, organizing, negotiation, and decision-making skills are important for this role.
