What the job is

This is a Field Manager position at Smollan, a company in the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry. The job is based in Louis Trichardt, Limpopo, and is a permanent role. You will be responsible for leading and managing field operations to ensure smooth business execution.

What you will do

You will focus on achieving operational excellence by actively managing daily field activities. You will gather business insights and ensure they are executed effectively. You will work closely with your team and manage yourself well to meet targets. You will engage with stakeholders to build strong relationships and manage promotional activities to meet sales objectives. You will also monitor new product innovations and ensure they are introduced successfully. Additionally, you will control expenses and make sure all targets are met efficiently.

What you need

You must have 2 to 3 years of sales experience in the FMCG industry at a managerial or supervisory level. You need a relevant Diploma at NQF level 5 and a valid Code 8 driver’s license. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required. You should be good at analyzing problems, using computers, and understanding business operations. Attention to detail, leadership skills, planning, organizing, negotiating, and decision-making abilities are also important.
