What the job is

This is a full-time Sales Consultant position at 1Life Insurance, a large multinational insurance company in South Africa. The job is based in Gauteng and focuses on selling funeral insurance policies to customers through phone calls. You will work with leads generated from SMS campaigns and help grow the company’s brand.

What you will do

You will make phone calls to customers to build new relationships and introduce them to funeral insurance products. You will ask questions to understand each customer’s needs and explain how the company’s policies can help them. You will recommend the best products, influence customers to make a purchase, and ensure they understand the benefits. You will also record customer details in the company’s system, schedule follow-up calls, and keep track of your performance to meet targets. Additionally, you will stay updated on company policies, industry regulations, and training to improve your skills.

What you need

You must have a Matric certificate or an equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA. It is essential to have at least two years of experience in telephone sales. Experience in cold calling is a plus. You should also have a valid Regulatory Exam 5 and 120 FAIS credits, though these are not mandatory but advantageous. You must meet the Financial Sector Conduct Authority’s competency requirements and be willing to provide proof of your qualifications.
