What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Branch Manager at Rohlig-Grindrod, a company in the logistics and supply chain industry. The job is based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and involves managing the company’s Sea Freight branch in the area.

What you will do

You will plan and organize the daily operations of the branch to meet business needs. You will lead and manage the branch team, ensuring resources are used efficiently. You will control and manage the branch budget, assist with sales and customer service, and ensure all reports and compliance tasks are completed. You will also follow the company’s quality management system rules.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and a FIATA diploma or a 3-year qualification in freight forwarding at NQF level 7 (or equivalent). You need at least 10 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with 3 of those years in a middle management role. Key skills include problem-solving, decision-making, business understanding, financial analysis, leadership, communication, planning, handling pressure, managing change, attention to detail, and knowledge of freight forwarding processes. You must also be computer literate, especially with MS Word, Excel, and VIP.
