What the job is

This is a full-time position for a Branch Manager at Rohlig-Grindrod, a company in the logistics and supply chain industry. The job is based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, and involves managing the Sea Freight branch operations.

What you will do

You will plan and organize the branch operations based on business needs. You will lead and manage the branch team, ensuring resources are used efficiently. You will control and manage the branch budget, assist with sales and client service, and ensure all reporting and compliance tasks are completed. You will also follow the company’s quality management system requirements.

What you need

You must have a Grade 12 certificate and a FIATA diploma or a 3-year qualification in freight forwarding at NQF level 7 (or equivalent). You need at least 10 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with 3 of those years in a middle management role. Key skills include problem-solving, decision-making, financial analysis, leadership, communication, planning, and handling pressure. You should also have knowledge of freight forwarding practices, customer service skills, and computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, and VIP.
