What the job is

This is a Heavy Motor Vehicle Driver position at Rohlig-Grindrod, a company in the logistics and supply chain industry. The job is based in Sandton, Gauteng, and is a permanent role within the Air Freight division. You will be part of the operations team, working at the Cape Town Airfreight Branch.

What you will do

You will be responsible for maintaining and operating a heavy motor vehicle. Your duties will include collecting and delivering freight as required. You may also be asked to handle additional tasks as they come up. This role involves ensuring the vehicle is in good working condition and following all relevant procedures for safe and efficient freight movement.

What you need

To qualify, you must have a Matric certificate and a valid Code 14 driver’s license. You need at least five years of experience as a Code 14 driver in a related industry. Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act, local geography, and product-specific freight movement requirements is essential. You should also understand motor vehicle specifications and carrier procedures. Strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work under pressure, and good teamwork are advantageous.
