What you will do

You will teach and guide Grade R learners by planning and delivering engaging lessons. Your role includes developing foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, and motor skills. You will create a nurturing and structured classroom environment where children can grow socially, emotionally, and academically. You will monitor each child’s progress and provide feedback to parents and school leaders. Additionally, you will collaborate with other teachers and participate in professional development and entrepreneurial training.

What you need

You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Foundation Phase Education and be registered with SACE. Experience teaching Grade R or Foundation Phase learners is required. You should have a strong understanding of early childhood development and be passionate about nurturing young minds. Excellent classroom management and communication skills are essential, along with creativity, patience, and organization.
