What the job is

This is a Senior Credit Risk Analyst position at Weaver Fintech Ltd, a fast-growing financial services company based in Riche Terre, Mauritius. The role is permanent and focuses on analyzing credit risk to support lending decisions.

What you will do

You will analyze large amounts of customer and transaction data to make key credit decisions, such as who to lend to, how much to lend, and at what interest rate. You will create reports and analyses to track loan performance, develop credit scorecards, and test new credit strategies. You will also work with teams across different departments to improve data quality and provide insights for credit policies. Additionally, you will mentor junior analysts and help improve the team’s analytical standards.

What you need

You need at least 5 years of experience in credit risk, data analytics, or a similar role, preferably in consumer lending, banking, or fintech. A degree in a numerical field like Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science is required. Strong skills in Excel, SQL, and reporting tools like Power BI are essential. You should also have good analytical judgment and the ability to communicate findings clearly to different audiences.
