What the job is

This is a full-time job for a Content Creator at Pump and Abrasion Technologies, working under the Curve Gear brand in Johannesburg, Gauteng. The main goal is to create short videos and photos for social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts to help promote Curve Gear and increase sales.

What you will do

You will shoot and edit videos and photos using mobile and studio equipment, often on location at farms, workshops, or stores. You will quickly edit footage using tools like CapCut or Adobe Premiere Pro, adding captions, sound, and effects tailored to each platform. You will turn long videos into multiple short clips and write engaging captions and hooks that match Curve Gear’s brand voice. You will also create ads for Meta and TikTok, test different hooks, and produce user-generated content (UGC) that feels authentic. Additionally, you will track trends, manage a content pipeline, analyze performance data, and report on what works and what doesn’t.

What you need

You must have strong skills in video and photo editing software like CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or Photoshop, as well as a good understanding of lighting, framing, and sound recording. Experience with social media platforms and copywriting is essential. You should be adaptable, a good storyteller, and comfortable working with people on camera. A valid driver’s license, willingness to travel across South Africa, and availability for early morning or weekend shoots are required. A portfolio or active social media account showcasing your work is preferred, along with 1-3 years of experience in digital marketing, video production, or social media management.
