What the job is

This is a Landscaping Operator position at Hartbeespoort Aerial Cableway, located in Hartbeespoort, North West. The company is part of The Tolcon Group. You will work under the Facilities Manager to maintain outdoor areas and ensure they are safe, clean, and well-kept.

What you will do

You will maintain lawns by mowing, sodding, reseeding, and rolling. You will operate landscaping equipment and tools. You will plan and weed plants, apply fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides as needed. You will plant, prune, and care for shrubs, hedges, and trees. You will ensure all areas are serviced on time and kept safe, clean, and tidy according to management instructions. You will also make sure safety, maintenance, and service standards are always met.

What you need

You must have completed Grade 10 or equivalent. You need excellent English language skills. You should have 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar landscaping or outdoor maintenance role. You must be friendly, helpful, and a goal-oriented team player. You should be organized, able to manage your own work, and have a certificate of fitness. A medical assessment may be required as part of the hiring process.
