What the job is

The South African Nuclear Energy Corporation (Necsa) is hiring two Quality Officers for their North West location. These positions are permanent and involve working with quality management systems to ensure compliance with industry standards.

What you will do

You will develop, implement, and maintain the Quality System and Integrated Management System (IMS) according to ISO 9001:2015 and other relevant standards. Your duties include scheduling and conducting internal and external audits, managing non-conformances, handling customer complaints, and controlling documents and records. You will also compile risk registers, update action plans, and perform surveillances on processes and operations. Additionally, you will verify decontamination, decommissioning, and waste management processes, as well as pre-shipment verifications. You will assist in resolving compliance issues and participate in management review meetings.

What you need

You need a National Diploma in Science, Engineering, or a Technical field (NQF Level 6). A Quality Assurance qualification or ISO certification will be an advantage. You must have at least three years of experience in a technical, science, or engineering environment. Experience in systems implementation or a QMS-related certificate is beneficial. Key skills include knowledge of ISO 9001/17025, SHEQ legislation, report writing, communication, and data analysis. Competencies like problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, and attention to detail are essential.
