What the job is
This is a full-time position for a Module Coordinator in Software Development at Stadio Higher Education, based in Durbanville, Western Cape. The role focuses on managing and improving software development courses for higher education students. The job is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in South Africa.
What you will do
You will develop and update study guides and textbooks to ensure they are current and aligned with the curriculum. You will create and review assessments, including exams and assignments, and work with lecturers and moderators to ensure fairness and quality. You will also design online course materials and support both students and lecturers through live and recorded lectures. Additionally, you will stay updated on trends in software development and higher education, engage with industry professionals, and conduct research to improve teaching methods.
What you need
You must have a Master’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, or a related IT field, with a doctoral degree being an advantage. You need at least 5 years of experience teaching computer science and programming modules in higher education. Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Java, or C# are required, along with experience in software engineering practices, version control, and agile methods. You should also have deep technical expertise, strong mentorship skills, and a passion for teaching coding and problem-solving.
