What the job is

This is a position for a Grade B Security Officer at CBRE Excellerate, a company that provides security and investigation services. The job is based in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal. The role involves overseeing the security operations at a specific site, ensuring safety, and maintaining high standards of service for clients and staff.

What you will do

You will manage the daily security operations at the assigned site, ensuring all security duties are performed according to company policies and industry standards. You will identify and respond to security risks and incidents, handle complaints from staff and clients, and communicate effectively with all stakeholders. You will also compile detailed reports on security operations, maintain accurate records, and provide leadership to security personnel. Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all security regulations and maintain professional relationships with clients.

What you need

You must have a PSIRA Grade B registration, a Matric or Grade 12 certificate, a valid Code 08 driver’s license, and a valid handgun firearm competency. You need at least 5 years of experience in the security industry, with 3 to 5 years of experience dealing directly with clients on security matters. Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills are required, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You must be physically fit, professional in appearance, and able to handle difficult situations calmly.
